FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When does the museum open?

Our opening times are: Monday to Friday 10.30am to 4.30pm Saturday 10.30am to 3.30pm We are closed on Sunday. The Museum is open from 1st April until the end of October.
How much does it cost?

Tickets are £5 per adult and children under 16 go free!
Do you take card payments?

Yes we can take payment with cash, card or mobile phone payments with Apple Pay or Google Wallet.
Is the Museum dog friendly?

Yes! Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome and we have a water bowl on the top floor. Exploring is thirsty work!
Is the Museum accessible?

The Museum has a ground floor entrance and a stair lift to the first floor. We also have a wheelchair available on the first floor if required.
Is the Museum suitable for children?

Yes! We have a children's trail around the Museum with lots of things for them to look for and learn about. These can be picked up at the desk when you arrive.
Is there a gift shop?

We don't currently have a gift shop but we do have a selection of books and postcards for sale at the desk. Just ask one of our friendly volunteers!
